A YOUNG woman had to be rescued by fire crews after getting into danger in Leeds city centre yesterday evening.
Police requested fire service assistance, at around 6.40pm, after the woman entered the water at the edge of the river at Clarence Dock.
A full water rescue was mobilised from Leeds and Hunslet fire stations, with the support of a technical rescue officer.
Crews set up water rescue downstream and were able to safely remove the woman from the water, before she was left in the care of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
