YORKSHIRE Water is recruiting for seven IT apprentices to work in a variety of roles in Bradford.
Roles include cyber security and information security analyst, process design, IT asset management and successful candidates will get hands-on experience, along with full training and guidance.
Lucy Burns, recruitment manager at Yorkshire Water, said: “There’s an awful lot of technology that goes into keeping our region’s taps flowing and taking away and treating wastewater.
“We're looking for IT apprentices who want to kick-start their careers in seven exciting new roles within our IT teams. Successful candidates will get hands-on experience, as well as help and support throughout their time on the programme.”
Holly Galek, a current mechanical engineering apprentice at Yorkshire Water, said: “I was really eager to get into industry as soon as possible, and an apprenticeship was a clear pathway for me.
“When I first started, I didn’t quite have the required grades to get onto the degree and Yorkshire Water was very supportive in guiding me through the extra qualifications I needed.
Yorkshire Water manages the collection, treatment and distribution of water around the region, supplying around 1.24 billion litres of drinking water each day.
