SOMEONE rang the 999 emergency line...to see if police could sort them out with a replacement car after their previous one was stolen.
West Yorkshire Police's Contact Management Centre shared details of the call to highlight the importance of using 999 for emergency calls only.
The team often tweets some of the more unusual calls they receive from the general public.
The force receives 120 inappropriate calls each day, and posts them on social media as part of its #Not999 campaign.
"Our car was stolen in a burglary and hasn't been found, we need to sort a new car today and can't get hold of the insurance. Can you help us with getting a car?"
