A £1,000 reward is being offered for information on the whereabouts of a man wanted in connection with a kidnap and robbery in Bradford.

Emmanuel Sherriff, 26, is being sought by officers following the offence which took place on Sackville Street, in the city centre, on February 5, 2022.

Despite extensive enquiries, officers have been unable to locate him and are appealing to the public to assist.

A £1,000 reward has been offered by Crimestoppers for information that leads to the arrest of Sherriff.

Officers now believe he may have travelled out of West Yorkshire and could be elsewhere in the North of England or Scotland.

Three men were jailed in August for their part in the Sackville Street kidnap in Bradford.

Waseem Hussain, 36, Cumberland Road, and Zain Abbas, 23, Great Horton Road, pleaded guilty to kidnap, robbery and six counts of fraud.

Umar Aslam 28, of Pavilion Road, pleaded guilty to false imprisonment, robbery and six counts of fraud.

The court heard the victim was held and subjected to an assault, threats and money stolen. The victim suffered minor injuries.

All three men appeared at Bradford Crown Court on August 17 and were sentenced to four years and three months each in prison.

Police confirmed Sherriff is the fourth suspect in the incident.

In their wanted appeal, the police have asked the public not to approach Sherriff but to report information or sightings relating to him by contacting Bradford CID on 101 or use the live chat facility at westyorkshire.police.uk/contactus quoting crime reference number 13220065989.

Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
