A BRADFORD man who has turned his life around after battling addiction and mental health problems will speak at a free event in the city this month.

Robert Blowman, from Wyke, overcame struggle to become a motivational speaker inspiring others across the country.

A mental health advocate and an actor, Robert will speak at the Rockwell Centre in Thorpe Edge on Thursday, January 19.

Guests at the event, which starts at 7pm, will able to hear about how Robert used the gym, drug rehabilitation services and the internet to change his life.

Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus last year, he said: “I wanted to show other people that it’s possible, no matter how low and how bad you feel in life, no matter what’s gone on, there is ways of combatting it.”
