A MENTAL health group’s weekly meetings in Bradford are moving to the home of the Bantams from next week.

Andy’s Man Club’s meetings are held every Monday from 7pm at a host of venues across the UK.

From Monday, January 9, the group’s Bradford Central sessions will take place at Bradford City’s Valley Parade ground from 7pm.

Meanwhile, Andy’s Man Club’s Monday Bradford South meetings will resume at Odsal Stadium, the home of the Bradford Bulls, at its Foundation Building, from Monday, January 9 also from 7pm each week.

The aim of Andy’s Man Club is to smash the stigma around mental health and create a space where men can be open about their struggles.

It was set up by former rugby league player Luke Ambler, whose brother-in-law Andrew Roberts took his own life in early 2016. He was just 23 years old.

His family had no inkling he was suffering and so looked into the deeper issue of male suicide and men’s mental health.

At the heart of the movement is the message ‘it’s OK to talk’.

The sessions at Odsal Stadium began in September last year and more information can be found by search Andy’s Man Club Bradford on Facebook.
