RESIDENTS in Bradford have been reminded where they can dispose of their Christmas tree.

As Twelfth Night is here on Thursday, January 5, traditionally the day people take down their Christmas tree and festive decorations, Bradford Council has told people where they can dispose of their trees.

The local authority tweeted: "We accept Christmas trees at all 8 of our Household Waste Recycling Centres.

“However, if you pay for our Garden Waste service, your tree can be chopped up and put inside your brown bin to be collected on your next collection date.”

The district's household waste recycling centres include: Bowling Back Lane in Bradford; Dealburn Road in Low Moor; Dowley Gap in Bingley; Ford Hill in Queensbury; Golden Butts in Ilkley; Midland Road in Manningham and Sugden End in Keighley.
