A BRADFORD school has explained why it will open later than usual today.
Saltaire Primary School say conditions around the premises are "extremely dangerous" due to the ice.
It means the school will not open its doors until 10am to allow pupils to travel safely.
A message from Saltaire Primary on the Bradford Council website read: "The conditions around the school are extremely dangerous due to ice.
"Therefore the school will not open until 10am to allow time for children and families to travel safely."
Yesterday the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for Bradford.
It warned of icy stretches forming across the city.
