CHRIS Kamara has shared the moment he shocked his grandchildren when he was revealed as the first to leave a popular family TV show.

The former Bradford City player and manager was unmasked as Ghost on ITV’s The Masked Singer.

It was the first elimination of the new series, which started on New Year's Day/

In the big reveal, he first took off his white ghost outfit but was wearing a black and white skeleton costume, including a further face covering, underneath.

He then took off his mask in front of show presenter Joel Dommett and show judges singer Rita Ora, TV presenters Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall and comedian Mo Gilligan, who failed to guess the identity of the masked singer.

The broadcaster, also known by his nickname Kammy, posted a video of the moment he was unmasked on the show as he watched with his family.

In the video, the Kamaras were chanting the show’s catchphrase ‘take it off’ and as Mr Kamara was revealed his youngest family members looked on in shock.

It caps off an eventful few days for Mr Kamara after he was made an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List for services to football, anti-racism and charity.
