A BRADFORD woman has spoken about "living in a nightmare" after reporting incidents of criminal damage, harassment and anti-social behaviour on a housing estate.

Rachel Cowling, who lives in a flat at Southcliffe Way, Baildon, reported that a masked man attempted to damage and then remove a ring doorbell camera at her home in an incident on Tuesday night.

Ms Cowling said after the man attempted to spray a liquid on the camera at around 7.30pm on Tuesday. Later, at around 10.15pm, an unsuccessful effort was made by a masked individual to remove the camera before the front windscreen and rear window of Ms Cowling's car were damaged in an attack at 10.16pm.

"I had a masked man at my door and the front and back windows of my car have been smashed," said Ms Cowling. "It was very nerve-wracking."

In regards to the incidents on Tuesday, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police has said: “Criminal damage and harassment will not be tolerated and the victim has been assured that these matters will be investigated fully."

“Anyone who can assist is asked to contact the Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101, or by email directly to shipleynt@westyorkshire.police.uk"

The incidents on Tuesday were among a number of incidents Ms Cowling says she has been subjected to since moving into her flat on Southcliffe Way in October.

"Threats have been made against me and my kids," she said. "It's awful. I'm living in a nightmare. It's like a dream or something from a film.

"I've never experienced an area like this. It's like a jungle here.

"I thought Baildon was nice."

Ms Cowling said with all that has happened since she moved in, she has tried to seek emergency accommodation.

Worried for the safety of her children, she said they stayed with a relative over Christmas.

"I didn't have Christmas with my children," she said. "That was really hard and very depressing."

Ms Cowling also said her health has been affected, saying: "I've been really poorly for weeks. The stress is causing me problems.

"No one should have to live like this."
