POLICE have officially named the Bradford man who died in a fatal crash on the M62 last week.

Police have said Shaan Hussain, who was 20 and from Bradford, died after the black Lamborghini Urus in which he was travelling overturned on the westbound carriageway at Outlane between junctions 22 and 23 at around 4.20am on Wednesday, December 21.

A 22-year-old woman who was also in the vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for further treatment.

The crash happened when the car reportedly flipped onto its roof and erupted in fire.

The Lamborghini Urus, powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, has been described as the first Super Sport Utility Vehicle in the world.

Following the crash, tributes poured in describing Mr Hussain as a young man who was "always smiling and full of life".

The Telegraph & Argus opened a Book of Condolences and people shared their sympathies.

Qasim M said: "Really really sad news, met him a few days ago and he had a personality that was larger than life. He was so full of energy and always smiling. I hope Allah blesses him with Jannat and gives Sabr to his family. You’ll be missed Shaan."

Shahab Ahmad said: "Heart has been chewed with this news. Great loss and even greater test for family. I can only ask parents to be patient in these hard times of your lives."

Craig Newsome said: "RIP. Lad was always smiling and full of life. Thoughts are with your family at this sad time."

Another person said: "Such a kind-hearted man. So sad to see him go. It’s always the kind hearted that go first. He was a soldier, always hard working, may he get the highest rank in Jannah Ameen."

Another person said: "Rest in peace young man, deepest condolences to your family and friends at this very sad time."

The police have released a further appeal and they carry out their investigation.

A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Police said: "The Major Collision Enquiry Team is continuing to investigate the collision and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who has footage that will assist in the investigation.

"Anyone who can assist is asked to contact the team on 101, or by using the 101LiveChat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting reference 143 of 21/12."
