A BRADFORD restaurant has been forced to hit the brakes on opening its second site in the city.
International, which also has a restaurant on Mannville Terrace, was set to open in the old Three Singhs building today in a deal worth £350,000.
However, it has been forced to push back the opening due to a gas leak and multiple pipe work issues.
A statement on International's Facebook page read: "Due to unforeseen issues relating to a gas leak and multiple pipe work issues it has been decided that the Sticker Lane premises will remain closed and builders will continue with the ongoing work.
"These issues have caused us to replace and upgrade all existing pipework within the kitchen.
"This issue arose very late into the refurbishment and was not included in the initial plans hence the continuous delays.
"On the positive side, work has started in order to correct these issues however the projected date for completion is around four-five days.
"We are aiming to have the premises open on December 19. Please do bear in mind that this is an estimated date and relies on the building work to be completed without any further issues."
