Kirklees College held a lockdown following a large police incident in Huddersfield.
West Yorkshire Police has cordoned off St Thomas’ Road with several PCSOs currently patrolling a section of the road.
Emergency services including police, firefighters and paramedics are all in attendance.
Access remains restricted to a number of sites, including JD Gyms Huddersfield.
Emergency services remain at the scene.

A spokesperson for Kirklees College said: “Due a police incident close to our Huddersfield Centre, we were placed in a lockdown. All students due to attend today should come into college as normal.”
One worried Bradford man told the Telegraph & Argus that his partner’s class at Kirklees College had been told not to leave the room.
