PEOPLE in Bradford on low incomes should have received a £65 cost of living payment in the last week.
Residents that currently receive a Council Tax reduction due to low income are eligible for the payment through the Government’s Household Support Fund.
The scheme from the Department for Work and Pensions means that residents do not need to apply for these payments.
If there are children in the household, there will be an additional payment of £20 for every eligible child.
For those that pay their Council Tax by Direct Debit, a payment was expected to be made into the same bank account by December 9.
Otherwise, people were being sent a voucher that can be exchanged at the Post Office for cash.
Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s executive member for healthy people and places, said: “This money is being used to support the residents that need it the most and help them with energy and food costs during this difficult time."
