Police have urged people to report areas of Bradford where they feel unsafe this winter.

West Yorkshire Police is drawing data from the Street Safe Tool launched by police.uk.

It means anyone who felt vulnerable on their way to shop, to study or walk back from work can help create change.

There might be a street in your area which does not have adequate lighting when it gets dark or an abandoned building that has been vandalised.

The StreetSafe tool allows people to anonymously report areas where they feel unsafe.

The force has already started implementing changes within Bradford district following residents’ feedback.

A spokesperson said: “It allows your voice to be heard and gives us a clear idea of matters that are happening in the area that you live.

“We thank those that have already submitted their feedback and important information which will be anonymously shared to continue to drive change and help people feel safe in West Yorkshire.”

To use the tool, visit the website police.uk/pu/notices/streetsafe/street-safe/

StreetSafe is not for reporting crime or incidents.

To report a crime, you can contact police via the 101 live chat on the West Yorkshire website or call 101 or 999 in an emergency.
