POLICE officers discovered a cannabis farm worth £800,000.

Offices from the Leeds North West Neighbourhood Policing Team yesterday (Friday) morning executed their second warrant of the week, this time in the Woodhouse area of Leeds.

A spokesperson the Leeds North West NPT said: "Over the course of a year, this farm could have generated around £800,000 of cannabis."

Within the last year in the Headingley, Woodhouse and Hyde Park areas alone the Leeds West NPT:

- Executed 17 successful search warrants

- Arrested nine people, all of which are now in prison

- Seized just short of 5,000 cannabis plants

- Prevented around £16 million of cannabis from hitting the streets next year.

The spokesperson added: "In 2023 We will continue to tackle drug supply in the area, as requested by local residents."
