A BRADFORD man has been sentenced to 100 hours of community service after he was found carrying a knife and cannabis in Airedale Shopping centre.
Ben William Eubank, 20, of Broomhill Mount, Keighley was found to be carrying a pocketknife which had a blade the cutting edge of which exceeded 7.62 centimetres, as well as a quantity of Class B drug, cannabis.
A Community Order was made and Eubank has to complete 100 hours of community service in 12 months, under the supervision of a supervisor.
He must also complete Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, where he must comply with any instructions of the responsible officer to attend or to participate in any activity as required by the responsible officer up to a maximum of 20 days.
A Collection Order was made, and he was asked to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95 and costs of £305 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
In total he must pay £400 before December 12, 2022.
The cannabis was forfeited under section 27 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and destroyed by West Yorkshire police and under Section 143 of the Powers of Criminal Courts Act 2000 he has been deprived of his right to have a pocket knife.
