A 57-year-old man charged with attempting to murder a woman in Bradford is still being medically assessed, Bradford Crown Court heard today.
Mohammed Ali, of Sunbridge Road, Bradford, is remanded in custody in HMP Leeds.
He is alleged to have attempted to murder the woman on August 11. Police called to Cornwall Road in Manningham discovered that a woman in her 30s had been stabbed. She was rushed to hospital with injuries that were described as ‘serious but not life-threatening.’ Ali’s three-day trial is fixed to begin on February 6.
Judge Andrew Hatton was told that his fitness to plead was still under investigation.
Ali was not produced before the court and trial date was maintained.
