A BRADFORD man has been ordered to pay compensation for stealing a patio heater from a city supermarket.
Edward Simpson, 40, of Spindle Close, Tyersal, Bradford, appeared in court on two theft from a shop charges.
He stole a patio heater and battery pack, worth £104.98, from Aldi on Leeds Old Road, Thornbury, on June 20, 2022.
He was ordered to pay £104.98 compensation for the offence. An application was made for deductions from Simpson’s benefits.
In the second charge, Simpson stole bedding worth £89.98 from Home Sense at the West Side Retail Park in Guiseley, on September 12, 2022. He was ordered to pay £89.98 compensation for this offence.
Simpson pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on November 22, 2022.
