THERE’S all sorts to enjoy in Bradford in the run-up to Christmas.
Both The Broadway and Kirkgate Shopping Centre are hosting exciting events for all the family.
The ‘Sparkle Spectacular’ is running across all weekends in December.
Ian Ward, General Manager at The Broadway, said: “The Sparkle Spectacular at The Broadway offers families a unique opportunity to take time out from Christmas shopping to have some fun and capture the moment with the ultimate family-selfie opportunity.
“Our festive programme is bursting with entertainment for all ages and has so much to offer families looking for a great day out. We’re incredibly proud of the diverse events on offer at The Broadway, and this is an important part of our mission to become the go-to destination for leisure in the city.”
What is happening at The Broadway?
- Buddy the Elf – December 10: 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.
Christmas favourite, Buddy from Elf will be in the centre ready to meet and greet shoppers.
- Santa Band – December 11: 1am, 1pm, 3pm and 4.30pm.
Playing festive hits throughout the day, The Broadway will host a Santa Band to spread festive cheer.
- Roller skating light-up presents – December 17: 11am, 2pm and 4.30pm.
Eye catching and mesmerising, the final Sparkle Spectacular event is extraordinary, larger than life, vintage presents roller skating through The Broadway.
- Christmas Elves on stilts – December 18: 11am, 2pm and 4.30pm.
Cheeky elves are planning to take over the centre for the day.
What’s going on at the Kirkgate Shopping Centre?
Inka the Polar Bear will be visiting Kirkgate tomorrow, December 10.
A free event for all, families are invited to visit the centre to meet Inka and welcome her and her cubs.
People will be able to meet Inka between 11am – 4pm and pose for a photo, which they can take away as a memento of the day.
Centre manager Catherine Riley said “We are really excited to have Inka the Polar Bear at our centre.
“This event is bound to put a smile on children’s faces, and bring the Christmas spirit to Bradford.”
