A BRADFORD restaurant has been recognised for its contribution to the food and hospitality industry with a double victory at a prestigious awards event.
Qasim Khan, who is the son of the owner and restaurant manager, took home the award for Young Businessman of the Year at the Asian Food and Restaurant Awards.
The Jinnah Group picked up the Restaurant of the Year in the North East UK prize.
Jinnah, a family-run Kashmiri restaurant business covering the whole of North and West Yorkshire, was originally in 1991 by three brothers Saleem, Mahmood and Zafar.
It was nominated in two categories - Restaurant Group of the Year and the Young Businessman of the year.
The event, held at the Montcalm Hotel, London, on December 5, paid homage to the leading lights of the Asian hospitality services and the whole food industry.
Mr Khan said: “Winning not one but two awards are a huge achievement and cements the Jinnah Group’s reputation for award-winning food, customer service and excellence.
“We are honoured to win these prestigious awards and accept them on behalf of the whole staff team throughout the businesses, but we must also recognise the loyalty of our customers.”
Specialising in traditional Kashmiri Pakistani cuisine, Jinnah has restaurants in Bradford, Saltaire, Selby, Harrogate and Flaxton, near York.
