TWO people from Bradford and Leeds have been arrested, including a teenager, after a VW Golf and a quad bike were stolen in the Craven district yesterday.
The arrests follow the theft of the quad bike from the Long Preston area, reported at 1.45am in the early hours of the morning, Tuesday December 6.
A police spokesman said: "Thanks to a tracker fitted to the quad bike, officers were able to quickly locate and intercept it near Kildwick. After the vehicle came to a stop, the rider, a 20-year-old man from Leeds was arrested following a short foot-chase.
"The quad bike was in convoy with a Volkswagen Golf suspected as stolen from the Hellifield area, and the driver, a 16-year-old boy from Bradford, was arrested on suspicion of theft.
"Both suspects remain in police custody for questioning."
