A MAN has appeared in court after he flooded a Bradford police custody cell with toilet water.
Daniel Stokes, 18, of Stirling Crescent, Bradford, faced one charge of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
Without lawful excuse, he damaged a custody cell belonging to West Yorkshire Police to the value of £80 by flooding it with toilet water. This offence took place at Trafalgar House police station, in Nelson Street, Bradford, on November 1, 2022.
The charge was that Stokes intended to destroy, or damage, such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.
Stokes was handed a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £216 victim surcharge for the offence.
Stokes pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on November 29, 2022.
