A MAN has been jailed for stealing chocolates, meat and protein bars from a convenience store in Bradford.
Ronnie Brockhill, 40, of Dirkhill Road, Bradford, was jailed for a total of two weeks for a number of offences.
He was given a two-week prison sentence for stealing chocolates, meat and protein bars from Tesco Express, Sunbridge Road, Bradford, on October 5, 2022. He was also ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge for this offence.
Brockhill was given another two-week prison sentence, to run concurrently, for an assault by beating charge. The offence happened at The Broadway, Hall Ings, Bradford, on October 10, 2022.
Brockhill was given another two-week prison sentence, to run concurrently, for a second assault by beating charge. The offence took place on the same date and location as the first assault charge. The court deemed it so serious because of numerous previous charges that were similar.
He pleaded guilty to the theft from a shop charge and had previously denied the two assault by beating charges, but then changed his plea to guilty at a later hearing.
Brockhill was sentenced at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on December 2, 2022.
