BRADFORD'S City of Culture team is seeking new members for its board of trustees.
Bradford Culture Company, the organisation responsible for delivering Bradford’s UK City of Culture 2025, is looking for trustees to determine the direction of the "game-changing Bradford 2025". The trustees board is supported by advisory groups including a Cultural Steering Group and an Engagement and Inclusion Group. Current trustees are: Mary Dowson, BCB Radio; Adeeba Malik, QED Foundation; Kamran Rashid, Impact Hub Bradford; Kersten England, chief executive of Bradford Council; Sabbiyah Pervez, BBC Look North; and Stuart McKinnon-Evans from the University of Bradford.
Trustees contribute to the Board’s role of determining the strategic direction, policies and planning. They are its advocates, promoting its activities and profile and assisting with fundraising. Current roles available include a chair, to work closely with the executive and creative directors. Applicants will need leadership experience in a professional organisation and an understanding of the key role of good governance. There are also positions available requiring expertise in digital, education, fundraising and legal fields. Applicants must submit a cover letter and/or a two-minute video explaining why they wish to be a Trustee and the qualities and skills they can bring to miriam.okeeffe@bradford2025.co.uk am. Closing date is Tuesday, January 3, 5pm. Visit bradford2025.co.uk/
