Police discovered a flat in Bradford was being ‘used to grow cannabis’ after a late night fire.
Emergency services were called to a fire in a converted flat building on Keighley Road, opposite Lister Park, at 9.55pm on Sunday.
Residents had already evacuated by the time four fire engines from Shipley, Bradford and Fairweather Green arrived.
No one was injured in the incident, officials confirmed, but the flat was damaged throughout.
The cause of the fire was under investigation throughout the night and Monday.
Police said the property was being used for drug production.

Police statement in full
In the latest statement, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Emergency services were called to a fire at a property on Keighley Road, Bradford at 9.55pm yesterday (4/12).
“Further investigations established that the property had been used to grow cannabis.
“No injuries were reported.”
Speaking on Monday, a spokesperson for Shipley station said: “It was a flat fire in one of the converted properties.”

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The service was called at 9.45pm on Sunday, December 4th to reports of a fire at a flat on the third floor of a three-storey property on Keighley Road, Manningham.
“Four engines attended from Shipley, Fairweather Green and two from Bradford, also crews were supported by an aerial appliance from Leeds. Four breathing apparatus were used as well as two hose reel jets and positive pressure ventilation on the 10m x 10m property.
"The flat was 100 per cent damaged by the fire. Fire alarms were activated at the time of the fire, no one was injured or needed hospital treatment. Crews left the scene just after 2am.”
