BRADFORD Phab Club is organising a three-day Indoor Multi Activities event at its MAPA Community Centre, in Coates Lane, BD5, with free entry and a free packed lunch for all participants.
The dates are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, December 19, 20 and 22, from 11am to 3pm.
Numbers are limited so please book in advance to take part by contacting Akbar Khan, the club's chairman, on 07850 964864 or by emailing: aky.khan@hotmail.co.uk
Akbar has been at the helm of Bradford Phab Club for over 40 years. He, alongside fellow Phab Club organiser Greta Arlinskaite, are finalists in this year's Community Stars Volunteer of the Year awards, for their dedicated work with the club.
The pair jumped into action when lockdown was announced to ensure food parcels reached families in need during the pandemic.
The pair also dedicate their own time to making and delivering food parcels to 40 families a week while hosting weekly activities including swimming, sports camps, summer residentials and day trips, online sessions to tackle isolation, and more.
Phab Club runs every Wednesday evening from 7.15 pm and whilst the club is primarily for children with disabilities, all children are encouraged to partake in the varied activities.
The club promotes self-confidence and promotes growth in all the children involved.
