A BRAND new sports bar has appeared in the heart of Bradford city centre, so we decided to go have a look around.
The Crown has replaced the Ye Old Crown on Ivegate following a huge £300,000 refurbishment.
The Telegraph & Argus visited the venue on Friday to see what all the fuss is about.
The 200-capacity space is designed to be a sports lovers' paradise and the frames on the walls definitely show this.
Bradford's sporting legends take centre stage. The likes of Stuart McCall and Paul Deacon are pictured celebrating Bradford City and Bradford Bulls triumphs.
Darts royalty in the form of Phil Taylor can be seen next to that iconic image of Terry Butcher in his blood-stained England shirt after dragging his country to the 1990 World Cup finals.
The Crown has 15 large LED TVs as well as a 4m x 2m ‘King’ size screen, showing national and international sports matches and events.
Punters will be able to enjoy interactive darts games and a pool hall boasting three competition-standard pool tables once the refurbishment is fully complete.
The Crown’s fully stocked bar will include a mixture of both local ales and craft beers, as well as several international lagers.
