A COMMUNITY has been left angry after a fire damaged a Bradford park.
Firefighters were forced to attend Russell Hall Park in Queensbury last Sunday evening.
Pictures show burnt grassland, a now redundant litter bin and the rubbish that was involved in the blaze next to the zip wire in the park.
One woman, who helped with the clear-up, expressed her frustrations on Facebook.
On Wednesday, Judy Wetherell said: "Not so much fun in the park this morning, helping park maintenance clean up the aftermath of the vandalism and fire.
"The mindless people who did this had even set the rubbish bags on fire in the bins.
"If on the weekend members of your family came home stinking of fire and burnt rubbish, you might want to ask yourselves what the hell they were up to.
"If anyone knows anything about this incident, please report it to the police."
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: “The service was called at 8.47pm on Sunday, November 27 to reports of a fire in the open at Russell Hall Park, Queensbury.
"Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire, which was next to a zip wire at the park.”
