A LOCAL Ukulele-playing dad and daughter duo could be taking the national stage as they sent through their audition for the new season of Britain’s Got Talent.
Joseph Petcher, 47, and his daughter Daisy, 5, who go by the names Big D and Little Dt, have auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent after being approached by show workers.
The duo shares videos on Facebook of them, dancing, singing, and playing the Ukulele while entertaining the audience with their special chemistry and comedy sketches.

Joseph, who works for the NHS, said: “We were really surprised that we had been approached and kind of tried to throw them off a little bit, but they came back. I ended up talking to them for the best part of an hour and they somehow roped me into.
“Daisy and I put together a couple of minutes for our audition tape and we’re excited to see what can come from it.
“We really enjoy performing and it couldn’t have come at a better time, things are picking up, and people are coming to us now rather than us reaching out.”
In the past couple of weeks, the father and daughter duo have played at two local Christmas light switch-on events in Cleckheaton and Heckmondwike.
“We have a special chemistry and people watch out videos with the sound off and they still see it.
“It’s not about winning for us, we just want to be on the telly, we want people to see us and our act.”
Daisy who attends Hightown Junior Infant & Nursery School, has become used to playing for crowds and will be playing the angel in her school nativity next week.
“I don’t think she’s scared of playing in front of people or nervous.
“She’s just really good at singing and dancing, people think she goes to a special performing school, but she just learns it at home.
“We were hoping she’d get to be Mary, but she got the role of the angel which has more lines than Mary and Joseph combined.
“She’s got really good performance energy, she picks the songs and comes up with the jokes, so she’s very good for her age.”
The duo is hoping for their audition at least make it on TV and the rest can go from there.
“I had previously thought about it half-heartedly, but when they reached out and kept coming, we thought we’d give it a go.
“We just want people to know us and have fun when we’re doing it.”
The duo can be found on TikTok under the handle Ukedad.
