FIREFIGHTERS were scrambled to the scene of a blaze caused by a pan of oil left unattended.
Fairweather Green Station, along with Illingworth and Halifax, attended the blaze in Moorside Gardens, Ovenden, at around 6.25pm yesterday (Thursday).
One breathing apparatus and one hose reel were used to extinguish the fire.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service added that nobody was injured in the incident.
A spokesperson from the service said: "Reports received of a flat fire where it was believed there was an occupier still inside the building.
"Fire crews arrived on the scene and the incident proved to be a pan of oil that had been left unattended.
"One breathing apparatus and one hose reel were used to extinguish the fire.
"Incident proved to be no persons involved."
