A DRIVER has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 after being caught speeding at 110mph on a motorway.
Zakaryia Ravat, 29, of Abbey Road, Healey, Batley, faced a charge of speeding.
According to court documents, he was caught driving on the M1 motorway at 110mph, exceeding the 70mph speed limit.
The offence happened on August 14 this year and Ravat was caught at junction 42 of the motorway by manned equipment, the court documents state.
Ravat was handed six driving licence points, fined £660 and was also ordered to pay a £264 victim surcharge, plus £90 costs. A collection order was made at the sentencing hearing.
Ravat was sentenced at a single justice procedure hearing at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on November 9.
