A MAN has appeared in court charged in relation to an incident where an ambulance was taken in Pudsey.
Peter Sayner, aged 42, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance.
The charges relate to an incident on the evening of Friday, November 25, where a Yorkshire Ambulance Service ambulance was taken from outside an address in Pudsey while staff were responding to a patient inside the property.
It's alleged it was then driven dangerously around Stanningley, Armley and Bramley for around 30 minutes during which time it was involved in collisions.
Sayner appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 28 and was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on December 23.
