A 41-YEAR-old Bradford man has been jailed after being caught driving a van while banned.
Daniel Barker, of Barden Avenue, Bradford, was spotted driving a Ford Transit van on October 21 on Westgate in Heckmondwike.
He pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified when he appeared before Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on November 17.
He was jailed for 16 weeks, as magistrates believed the offence was so serious due to the defendant’s flagrant disregard for court orders.
Barker was also disqualified from driving again, this time for a total of 46 months, almost four years.
He also admitted using a motor vehicle without third party insurance in place.
Magistrates also ordered him to pay £154 as a surcharge to fund victim services.
