A BRADFORD man has been jailed for assaulting a police officer in Bradford.
Kamrul Hussain, 40, of Amberley Street, Bradford, was jailed for a total of six weeks for three charges.
In the first charge, assault by beating of an emergency worker, he was committed to prison for six weeks.
Hussain assaulted a police officer on Fitzroy Road, Bradford, on February 6 this year.
In the second charge of assault by beating of an emergency worker, Hussain was committed to prison for six weeks, to run concurrently.
He assaulted a detention officer at Trafalgar House police station on Nelson Street, on June 2 this year.
For the third offence, failing to surrender to police/court bail at the appointed time, he was committed to prison for six weeks, to run concurrently.
He failed to surrender to custody on July 13 this year at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings.
He was ordered to pay a total of £200 compensation.
Hussain was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on November 22.
