A BRADFORD teenager will be cutting his locks for Macmillan this Friday and hopes to reach his £1,000 fundraising target.
Edward Holmes, 15, attends Titus Salt School in Shipley and has been growing his hair for a year, with the charity project in mind.
His dad, Michael Holmes, said: “He’s been wanting to do it for some time, and he’s been researching the different charities and he landed on Macmillan.

“We’ve been affected by cancer quite a few times, lost my uncle to cancer last year and my grandmother died from it too.
“I’m massively proud of him and what he’s doing.”
Edward has raised nearly £900 for the charity so far and will be cutting his hair on Sunday, December 4, at the Café Bar 12 after the Baildon Christmas lights switch on.
“Teenagers don’t normally get a good reputation so it’s good to see someone so young doing something off their own back.”
