PEOPLE from across the Bradford district are invited to join Martin House Children’s Hospice as it holds Light up a Life next week.

It will take place at the Thornbury Centre, Leeds Old Road, on Wednesday, December 7 at 6pm.

Light up a Life is part of the bereavement support Martin House offers to families and gives them the opportunity to come together to remember their children at Christmas, but is also open to anyone who would like to remember a loved one.

Mark Clayton, Chaplain at Martin House, said: “Around a third of the families we support are from Bradford, so we wanted to provide an opportunity for people in this area to come together.

“At the darkest and busiest time of year, Light up a Life gives people the space and time to remember their children and celebrate their lives.”

The event includes performances by local schools and Martin House musicians, along with Bradford singer Ismail Hussain and the Bradford Stories Bus.

There is also an online book of dedication, where people can leave a message and upload a picture of their loved one. It is available at www.martinhouse.org.uk/lightupalife.

If people would like to attend the event, they can contact Mark Clayton at mclayton@martinhouse.org.uk or Sanaa Khan at skhan@martinhouse.org.uk.
