A BAND with Bradford connections will continue their 40th anniversary celebrations with a show in West Yorkshire next year.
James are joining the headline line-up for Live At The Piece Hall 2023. The indie legends will play the historic West Yorkshire venue on Friday July 7. Their lead singer, Tim Booth, was born in Bradford.
The Piece Hall announcement comes as the band – who gave the world timeless anthems as Sit Down, Born of Frustration, She’s A Star and Come Home – get ready to release their forthcoming new double album – featuring orchestral reworkings of their greatest hits.
James have sold more than 25 million records worldwide since forming in Manchester in the early 1980s – gaining both critical and commercial acclaim.
This November marks 40 years since their first show as James (The Hacienda, supporting Big Country – November 17, 1982).
They continue to be a massive live draw, headlining festivals and selling 60,000 tickets for their 2021 UK arena tour.
James join Madness, Sting, Embrace, War On Drugs and The Lumineers among the 2023 headliners for Live at The Piece Hall with many more artists still to be announced.
