A MAN has been fined after failing to produce a train ticket for a journey between Bradford and Manchester.
According to court documents Peter Wayre, 39, of Kershaw Street, Bradford, made the journey on April 5 this year.
The documents state: "Upon arrival at Manchester Victoria station he was requested to produce a ticket but was unable to do so.
"When questioned he stated that he had purchased a ticket from Bradford Interchange but it may have dropped out of his pocket.
"His details were obtained and he was advised the facts would be reported.
"Following the incident a letter was sent to the defendant requesting either payment of the fare or proof of purchase.
"As there was no response a Fixed Penalty letter was then sent, however this remains unpaid."
He was fined £220, ordered to pay costs of £85, a surcharge of £34 and compensation of £15.80.
