ROAD humps are to be built in Eccleshill village, Bradford Council has announced.
The road safety measures, under the Highways Act 1980, are to be constructed at Victoria Road and Stony Lane.
A copy of a drawing showing the affected roads may be examined during office hours at the Customer Services Reception in City Hall, at bradford.gov.uk/transport-and-travel/highways/traffic-calming-and-pedestrian-crossings or obtained from Shahid Aziz on (01274) 435722 or by emailing shahid.aziz@bradford.gov.uk. Anyone wishing to object to the proposals should send the grounds for objection in writing either by post to the address below or by email to legalobjections@bradford.gov.uk no later than 12noon on Friday, December 9, quoting reference:- CORP/PCD/412629.
Bradford Council has also announced the following public notices:
* Temporary road closure at Thorncliffe Road, Bradford, for water works to be carried out. The order, in force from Tuesday, November 29 at 7pm until Wednesday, November 30 at 6am, affects the length of Thorncliffe Road from its junction with Manningham Lane to its junction with Cliffe Terrace. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Alternative routes for traffic are via Thorncliffe Road (unaffected section), Cliffe Terrace, Burlington Street, Manningham Lane and vice versa.
* Temporary road closure at Denholme Road, Oxenhope, for gas works to be carried out. The order, in force until December 2 at 6pm, affects the length of Denholme Road from its junction with Jew Lane to its junction with Back Leeming. Pedestrian access, access for emergency service vehicles and vehicles associated with the works will be allowed.
Alternative routes available via via Denholme Road (unaffected section), Station Road, Keighley Road, Hebden Road, Brow Top Road, Black Moor Road and vice versa.
* A compulsory purchase order for 8 Old Road, Horton Bank Top. The order is for the purpose of bringing the property back into use for housing purposes.
Compulsory purchase orders are made under the Housing Act 1985 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981.
