ZAYN Malik has shared a picture from his own school days in Bradford as he promoted sales of a clothing range to help feed needy families.

The East Bowling-born former One Direction member turned solo singer posted a black and white photograph from his time at Lower Fields Primary Academy in Bradford.

He posted a message to promote a clothing range to help families living in poverty.

The items include messages such as ‘Save the Future’ and ‘Feed the Children’ and proceeds raised from the sales will go to the feedingbritain.org charity.

Zayn posted on his Instagram: “Together we can help save the future.

“Together we can help protect families. Together we can help by providing meals to those suffering from hunger, poverty, and food insecurities.

“100 per cent of the proceeds from these shirts will be donated to @feeding_britain.

“No child should have to suffer the trauma and stigma of hunger and poverty.

”We want every child to grow up healthy and lead productive lives #freeschoolmeals.”

Earlier this month Zayn recalled his childhood in Bradford as he spoke on the cost of living crisis. The singer has called on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to “give all children living in poverty” a free school meal by extending the threshold.
