A MAN was freed from a car and taken to hospital following a crash in the Bradford district last night.
The incident involved two cars, Shipley Fire Station said, and happened close to a pedestrian crossing at the junction of Canal Road and Gaisby Lane.
Crews from Shipley and Fairweather Green fire stations attended the scene at around 8.30pm and extricated one man from the vehicle.
He was then taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
A Shipley Fire Station spokesperson added that the man's injuries "didn't look serious".
Road closures were put in place as a result of the incident.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Just after 8.30pm last night a Shipley crew came across a road traffic collision on Gaisby Lane, Shipley whilst on the way to another incident.
“A crew from Fairweather Green was called to assist, and a person was extricated from the vehicle involved in the collision and then transported to hospital by Yorkshire Ambulance.”
West Yorkshire Police has also been contacted for further comment.
