A MAN has been jailed for stealing alcohol from a Bradford supermarket.
Matthew Frangakis, 25, of Holme Street, Rochdale, faced one theft from a shop charge.
He stole alcohol, to the value of £144, from Sainsbury’s, Harrogate Road, and the offence took place on August 17, 2022.
Frangakis was committed to prison for two weeks as the offence was deemed so serious because it was aggravated by his record of previous offending.
He was also ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge for the theft from a shop offence. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing Frangakis faced.
Frangakis pleaded guilty to the one charge he faced and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on November 9, 2022.
