A MAN has avoided jail for stealing more than £300 worth of clothing from a sports shop at a Bradford shopping centre.
Jason Bukhosi Sobhuza, 26, of Martindale Close, Bradford, faced a number of charges.
He was committed to prison for four weeks, suspended for six months, for a theft from a shop charge.
He stole clothing worth £344 from JD Sports in The Broadway, Bradford, on June 23.
He must pay a £154 victim surcharge.
He was also sentenced for a number of other offences.
Sobhuza was committed to prison for four weeks, suspended for six months, to run concurrently, for a charge of failing to surrender to police/court bail at the appointed time, on August 26.
He was also committed to prison for four weeks, suspended for six months, to run concurrently, for two further charges of failing to surrender to police/court bail at the appointed time, on September 28 and October 28.
Sobhuza was re-sentenced for a previous theft from a shop charge, which took place on April 30. He was re-sentenced and committed to prison for four weeks, suspended for six months, to run concurrently.
Sobhuza pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on November 21.
