A POPULAR black-tie dinner raised over £46,000 for a Bradford district hospice earlier this month.
The annual Beef & Beer Dinner, which is organised by members of the Sue Ruder Manorlands Challenge Committee, was held at the Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley on Thursday, November 10.
The event – which was in its 17th year and was attended by more than 200 guests from local businesses – raised an incredible £46,774 to help fund the expert palliative care and support that Sue Ryder provides for people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Harriet Wood, community fundraiser at Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice - which is in Oxenhope, said: “We are once again delighted with the success of this event and we feel truly grateful to be able to work with such wonderful supporters and companies.
“Thank you to Timothy Taylor’s Brewery and Dovecote Park, who provided very generous donations of beef and beer, and to all our guests who attended on the night.”
The Beef and Beer Dinner is one of two corporate events organised by the Manorlands Challenge Committee each year, which have collectively raised over £1m for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
