A MAN has appeared in court charged with being drunk and disorderly in a town centre.
Allan Gawthorpe, 49, of Otley Road, Baildon, faced one charge of being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
He was found guilty for drunk and disorderly behaviour which took place at Kirkgate, Shipley, on October 8, 2022. The offence was contrary to section 91(1) of the Criminal Justice Act 1967.
Gawthorpe was handed a one-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £26 victim surcharge for the offence.
A collection order was made by the court with a deduction made from his benefits.
Gawthorpe pleaded guilty to the charge he faced and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on November 9, 2022.
