Feversham Education Trust is preparing to submit a bid to the Department of Education under the Wave 15 of mainstream free school application process, to build and open an Elite STEM 6th Form College for females aged 16-18.
The college will be based just outside the city centre and will serve the areas of Leeds, Calderdale, and Kirklees.

The vision for the college is to provide a clear focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) for A Levels, BTEC and T-level qualifications and to provide new education and career pathways for disadvantaged females who otherwise may not have the same opportunities.
The college aims to work alongside employers and universities to provide the future workforce with skills and knowledge.
Initially, it hopes to take on 500 Girls aged 16-18, with 250 in each year group.
The application at this stage is to be submitted on November 30 2022.
