A Bradford MP has described feeling “deeply saddened” by the death of a 14-year-old boy believed to be from Manningham.
Reports emerged that teenager Adil Khan had sadly died whilst abroad in Pakistan over the weekend.
Unverified reports claim Adil died in a shooting incident while he was on holiday.
A Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office spokesperson said: “We are supporting the family of a British child who has died in Pakistan.”
Bradford West MP Naz Shah has extended an offer of support from herself and the British High Commission.
The Labour MP said: “My thoughts and prayers remain with the family during this tragic time.
“I have reached out to the British High Commission to seek further information.
“Of course it goes without saying that British High Commission and myself are here to offer any assistance to the family and I would ask that we respect the family’s privacy during this difficult period.”
