Two fire stations had to be called to Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) to remove a ring that was stuck on a man’s finger.
The patient had a swollen hand which made wearing his ring painful.
Firefighters from Leeds had tried to cut the ring off but requested further support at 2.30am.
Cleckheaton arrived at the LGI with more heavy-duty equipment.
A spokesperson for Cleckheaton station: “We spent about 90 minutes using a cutting tool to assist getting a ring off a male who was in pain.”
