Chris Roberts, of Bradford & Bingley Weatherline, brings us the latest of his regular weekend weather forecasts
General
Pressure is rising and this will bring slightly more settled conditions to the early weekend before another Low Pressure system affects the region on Sunday setting another pattern for more unsettled weather next week. So, what does this bring for the weekend?
Saturday
A complicated picture with a decaying higher pressure giving way, eventually, to more low pressure and associated unsettled conditions from the West.
The day will start bright but cloud will thicken and the potential for showers increases through the morning to bring some rain by lunchtime to most areas around the district, but very hit n miss. It should become drier into the afternoon and evening.
Temperatures from 6 to 7°C in a light to moderate Easterly breeze. So feeling cold.
Saturday night will start dry but rain showers will affect the region overnight. Lows of 5°C with breezes light but increasing to moderate into the dawn period.
Sunday
A showery and breezy day with showers split with some brighter, possibly, sunny periods. It should become drier later in the day as the chance of precipitation decreases, but showers will be very hit and miss in nature again.
Temperatures from 4°C to only 7°C in a moderate to fresh Westerly wind.
A mainly dry night with a few clear periods is expected but the chance of showers increases by dawn again.
Lows of 3°C in a light to moderate SW breeze.
Further Outlook: A unsettled week to come and for the foreseeable with showers and longer periods of rain at times, but with some brighter interludes. Temperatures around the low average in some strong breezes.
